Biology 11
Biology 11 is a senior science course that explores the connections among organisms on the planet, focusing on unity and diversity, evolutionary relationships as well as ecological relationships. It is a course about discovering different concepts and ideas associated with life and incorporating the building of scientific inquiry, processes skills and communication.
This course allows for hands- on learning experiences such as dissections and its content creates several real life connections with organisms of our world. Students will further develop their laboratory procedure, critical thinking, presentation, organization and scientific process skills, which will further prepare students for future science courses.
This course consists of 5 units.
Unit 1 Cellular Function
Unit 2 Genetic Continuity
Unit 3 Internal Systems and Regulation
Unit 4 Diversity of Living Things
Unit 5 Plant Anatomy , Growth and Function
